Slightly strange week.

Greetings!

I hope this message finds you all well! I've been having a strange week! It was somewhat busy with school just because we presented our team teaching presentation on Wednesday, so there was some work and stuff to do with that. Yesterday was Mr. Munro's funeral and it was very very sad! I went by myself because I was just going to sit with Kim Baty and her mom but they couldn't come, so I was sitting by myself and then I saw Angela (my very best friend from grade 5 and 6) and her momma and so I followed Ange to the bathroom and then we all sat together. It was really, really sad though. And we saw Mr. Dougherty there (he was kind of Mr. Munro's teacher buddy, you know when classes do lots of stuff together) and he had the exact same haircut! It was excellent! Anyways, it was a very sad thing and my eyes are totally raw from Kleenexes (of course, I'm such a crier). And today I expect to have even rawer eyes because I will probably cry at Aaron's wedding too, which is today! I'm very excited! It'll be a really fun time and I'll get to catch up with Jana too, which is also very exciting!!! Plus I had a nice time wrapping their gift and writing in their card! It will be a great time! I'll try and take a few pictures and post them!

EDIT: Jord and I were talking about wedding registries and he asked if Aaron and Nicole had registered for a TV and I said no because that's tacky but he said he doesn't think it's tacky. My mom agreed that it was NOT tacky, but I just wanted to know how others felt. Opinions?

Sad, sad news

Hello all!

I just thought I'd post a little something about a thing that I found out yesterday. I got an email from facebook that said that my sister had invited me to a group called "In Loving Memory of Mr. Munro". Mr. Munro was my most wonderful teacher ever: I had him in grade 5 and grade 6. So, anyways, I guess he had a heart attack on Thursday. So I thought I'd post about it. I think I'll go to the funeral if I can make it (I really just shouldn't miss my final, probably anything else would be missable). Anyways, it's really sad because he was such an awesome teacher and I saw him around a few times, actually just a couple of weeks ago he was at Ticketmaster and we talked for a little while. I'm really glad for that I guess. I thought that maybe I'd toss a few things that I learned from him up here, just for fun:

1) There's no better way to spend post-recess time than on the carpet listening to a book (whether it's amazing like "Where the Red Fern Grows" or that icky pirate book that he read us about cannibals).
2) There's no better way to spend recess than in a fun game of football.
3) You should do your best work every time. And if you don't and you get a chance to redo it, you should do your best a second time.
4) Oldies make work easier.
5) If you act like an idiot, you'll have your desk set up right beside the teacher's desk. I don't think Stephen Lewis got to sit anywhere other than right beside the teacher's desk more than 4 or 5 days that whole year.
6) Learning is better done creatively than via lecture (Academy Awards of writing, presentations, "Home Alone" project)
7) and finally... licorice is the absolute most fitting reward for any good deed, especially participating and helping clean up after school (this was not my idea, but I did it anyways sometimes).

Anyways, there it is. It's a darn shame, that's for sure. I wish I had a picture, and I probably do, I just don't know where......

"I have an art tattoo and I'm not the most pretentious person here"

Today's title is a quote that a friend said a few weeks ago and I just had to share it. It made me so happy and was so funny, so I just had to!

I have to tutor in approximately 5 minutes, so I'll definitely have to save this and then come back to it when I'm done!

My neck and back hurt so much though! I cleaned my bedroom today which was pretty nice because I was kind of dying to do it. Well, I was dying for it to be done, and I'm the only person who will do it! So I have 2 loads of laundry left to fold and then that's all! I have pictures, but I just don't have the time to get them right now, so they'll be on this post. Probably directly under this paragraph.

AFTER:

I feel like I have very little to say! Spring lectures will be over in 8 days, which is pretty darn exciting! Then I have an oral exam for Italian (I was thinking French) on the 26th (Thursday) and then the written final on the 30th (holiday Monday, thanks a lot U of C).

I just finished tutoring though. And I'm enjoying a Jumbo Mr. Freeze. It's delish! I really shouldn't, but I may have another one after this. I don't think I really have anything else exciting to report on! It's been a VERY long time since I wrote something and I got nothin! How embarassing!!!

Molly's coming home VERY soon! Only 13 days, 2 hours and 46 minutes left!!! I'm pretty excited!!!

Watch-tacular!

Hola!

Not too too much has gone down this weekend, but what the heck, I'm on the computer anyways, so I might as well post about it...

On Friday, Amanda, Katie, Amanda's sister Laura, Laura's friend Katie and I went to see the Sex and the City movie. It was very good and is recommended to allllllllllll SATC fans by me! It was quite quite enjoyable. And very long! It started at 10:30 and went until about quarter after 1. It was nuts! And so good!

Then I worked Saturday and me and James went over to Nate's for a while for a party.

Then today, I went to Tim Horton's and studied during soccer and then we just did little random things like go to chinook and for lunch and stuff like that.

HOWEVER, we went to Spareparts. I bought a....and Jordan got some......

Although that isn't exactly the colouring of them. They have a Von Zipper logo sort of pattern thing. From a distance it looks very similar to the Louis Vuitton pattern because it's a tan logo over and over on a brown background. They're pretty BA. I've also been looking at and desiring that watch since a really really long time ago, so I'm thrilled to buy it (AND IT WAS ON SALE!!!!).

It was sweet and I also got my travel Alberta holiday card (which supposedly saves you lots of money) and AARON'S WEDDING INVITATION in the mail today. The invitation was the most exciting thing! I'm very psyched for the wedding (reception). It will be a really nice time I'm sure and I'll get to catch up with Jana, who I haven't seen in FOREVER! I'm excited! It should be great!

Anyways, I gotta get a little studying done for my test d'italiano tomorrow. I hope it goes almost as well (or equally as well) as my last one (which I got 97% on!!!). That would be so sweet.
